I've just found out that the version 2.4 of painting app Krita has released. The announcement filled me up with joy but, as I found out a few seconds later, that wasn't the only good news. Apparently the development team enjoyed my sketches and featured them in their site as well as in their PDF release notes.

Thanks guys. That means a lot to me.

Now: compiling krita 2.5 git

A few months back I bought 5 DVDs from the Blender Foundation and the Krita DVD. I'm glad to say that all of them are just great.

From the videos and explanations by Animtim I was able to get a better grasp of how Krita works and how to let go many of my old gimp mannerisms. I still miss the keyboard shortcuts to toolbar items but, according to Krita Admin, they should be implemented soon. I just love this about Open Source Software: as soon as it is developed and published in the repo I can pull it, compile and start using it.

I must admit that, at first, I thought the videos were kind of simplistic just to realize that I seemed that way because the explanations were simple and direct.

I've just finished helping upload her firts lot of deviations and she already has more than a dozen favs.
